Community Circle Conversations during COVID-19

In partnership with members of the Central Iowa Funders Forum, we will be convening a weekly space for Community Circle Conversations on Wednesday mornings from 8:30-9:30 a.m.
These virtual gatherings for nonprofit leaders and funding colleagues will provide a space to share experiences in responding to COVID-19 as well as provide information on a specific topic.
When: Weekly, beginning on Wednesday, April 8 from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Breakout rooms: Participants will share in small group discussions sucesses and challenges related to our presentation topic. Breakouts will be led by representatives of the presenting partners.
Who: Central Iowa nonprofit leaders (executives, leadership staff, board members, sector support professionals)

The format may evolve to best serve your needs, but right now we envision:
The hour-long session will be divided as follows:
10 minutes: Welcome and legislative update
20 minutes: Presentation + Q&A on a pre-announced general topic of interest
30 minutes: Opportunity to join a relevant virtual breakout group for dialogue with colleagues or hear a more detailed report on policy around relief progrms.

Stay for the whole time or part of the conversation.
Each main presentation and policy deep dive is recorded and saved to our COVID-19 resource page.
These sessions will be hosted through the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines in partnership with United Way of Central Iowa, Mid-Iowa Health Foundation, Polk County Housing Trust Fund and Bravo Greater Des Moines along with additional members of the Central Iowa Funders Forum, a group of local grantmakers.
