The Goodwill of Central Iowa Day Services Program for adults with disabilities and/or mental health needs

Our Day Services Program is a participant-driven program that provides services to adults with disabilities and/or mental health needs. The program is designed to develop, maintain and increase or maximize independence. Programming is ongoing and takes place 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. Monday - Friday. This program is held at the Goodwill Headquarters in Johnston, and multiple outings are scheduled each week to provide opportunities for community integration. Download Program flyer here.

IowaWORKS FREE Work Readiness Workshops at 430 E Grand to 200 Army Post Road.

As many of you already know, we offer a wide range of free offerings to help those in our community locate, apply for, and secure a great career. Topics range from resumes to social media to conflict resolution and pretty much everything in between. Participants can earn a number of certificates from our workshops also, which look GREAT on a resume. Pre-registration is not necessary either, except for the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) exam. We also host a monthly career fair/employer panel that I strongly recommend job seekers attend to make sure they are getting themselves in front of the decision makers of the hiring process. Hard to beat free interviews!

* IowaWORKS have partnered with DMACC to offer free HiSET and ESL workshops at IowaWORK Development Center, Mondays-Thursdays.
