LGBTQ Day on the Hill

Wednesday, February 27
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
State of Iowa Historical Building and Iowa State Capitol
600 E Locust St and 1007 E Grand Ave, Des Moines, IA 50319

We'll kick off the day with a "Talk to Your Legislator" training at the State of Iowa Historical building to equip you with the tools you need to speak to your legislators effectively. You'll be connected with a small group who share a legislator with you so you don't have to go it alone.

After training and connecting with our small groups, we'll march to the Capitol and break for lunch. You can purchase a catered lunch for $10, or get your own lunch at the Capitol or offsite.

Then, we'll gather for a rally in the rotunda to raise our voices for LGBTQ Iowans. Everyone who registers will receive a free One Iowa Action shirt so we can truly show our strength in numbers. We'll announce rally and training speakers in the next few weeks. The rest of the afternoon will be devoted to meeting with legislators.
