The Supper Club provides an evening meal for 120-180 adults and children Monday-Friday and 60-70 adults and children on Saturday. Many of the guests at the meal are among the growing number of the working poor. The meal is provided by local congregations, service clubs, and faithful volunteers. Opening at 4:30 p.m. Mon-Sat. The meal is served from 4:45-5:30 pm.
Supper Club Day
Group arrives with meal: 4:00 p.m. It will take 6-10 volunteers to set-up, serve and clean-up depending on the number of items to serve.
Volunteers sign in: Print your names on the group sign-in sheet and check the correct date box then make yourself a name tag. (The sign-in information is important for grant reporting to secure funds to sustain CFUM programs.) Finally wash hands where directed to wash.
Supper Club opens: 4:30 p.m. Guests come into the building.
Serving begins: 4:45 p.m. Supper Club staff person will give directions about portion size and serving.
Serving ends, leftovers sent home (if available): 5:30 p.m. Food leaves the dining room in closed plastic containers only.
Clean-up ends (your group is vital to accomplishing this task): 6:00 -6:15 p.m.
Clean-up involves sweeping, wiping tables and chairs, cleaning counters, gathering pans and dishes to take home.
